Zebra Loose in Atlanta - Police Capture Zebra After Escape from Circus

  photo from LA Times An escaped circus zebra in Atlanta galloped along a busy section of interstate highway on Thursday afternoon with police in hot pursuit. The rush hour traffic came into standstill and the busy interstate turned into a circus. After a 40-minute chase through downtown to the interstate highway, the Atlanta police captured the 12-year-old zebra, named Lima, along the Interstate 75-85 downtown connector. The Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus spokesperson, Crystal Drake, told the Associated Press, police cruisers blocked off all southbound lanes of Interstate 75 and were able to herd the zebra over to the right shoulder and off an entrance ramp, where his trainer was on hand to capture and soothe him. Broken Heart Syndrome

A broken heart (or heartbreak) is a common metaphor used to describe the intense emotional pain or suffering one feels that are usually associated with losing a loved one, through death, divorce, breakup, moving, rejection, or other means. It also refers to the physical pain one may feel in the chest because of the loss. Although "heartbreak" is usually a metaphor, there is a condition appropriately known as "broken heart syndrome" where a traumatizing incident triggers the brain to distribute chemicals that weaken heart tissue. Sudden emotional stress caused by a traumatic breakup, the death of a loved one, or even the shock of a surprise party can trigger the condition. Broken Heart syndrome is clinically different from a heart attack because the patients have few risk factors for heart disease and were previously healthy prior to the heart muscles weakening.
